The Jury's Inn hotel regurlarly receives monthly utility reports and annual benchmarking reports. This allows the hotel to compare consumption for Gas, Electricity and Water against UK benchmarks provided by the Carbon Trust. These benchmarks can be found in the Carbon Trust Benchmarking section of the case study.

The results from these reports do not take into account climate and occupancy levels of each hotel. This means the results used for benchmarking are not a fair comparison. By normalising the data using climate and occupancy data, a more reliable and accurate comparison can be made.
